Michael Cureton was born on July 28, 1961 in Charlotte, NC.  Graduated from Olympic High School and received a wrestling scholarship to North Carolina A&T State University. 

Michael has a wealth of experience working with children and families in Chapel Hill, NC, and surrounding areas. Michael has served as a Non-Profit Founder/Director (Operation New Life 501(c)) and local business owner (ONL CDC, Child Development Centers). Pastor Mike, as he is "Affectionately" known, has served as Youth Pastor and Senior Pastor at Celebration Assembly of God Church in Chapel Hill, NC. In addition, he served as a Board Member for the Orange County Partnership for Young Children and Fatherhood consultant for the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City School District Pre-K Head Start Program.

Michael has been employed a number of diverse corporations in the Triangle area including:

Michael has been married to his wife (Cheryl) for 37 years. Cheryl and Michael are the parents of two adult children (Moriah (31) & David (22).
